BJJ, Kickboxing for Fitness, & MMA
We offer a wide variety of martial arts and physical fitness activities so that you can CRUSH your goals.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for men and women ages 15 and up.
Kickboxing for Fitness for women of all ages.
MMA for men and women ages 18 and up.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) enables a smaller person to defend him or herself against a larger adversary by using leverage and proper technique. BJJ teaches every practitioner how to use his or her body to their advantage. This is why BJJ is so universal – there is no ideal body type – everyone’s body is perfect! Each person has their own special characteristics that they can use to develop their own effective style.
When are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes?
Adult classes are Monday and Thursday:
- BJJ for Warm-Up 7:30pm – 8:00pm
- BJJ Technique 8:00pm – 9:00pm
- BJJ Open Roll 9:00pm – 10:00pm
Private lessons are available upon request.
What do I Need?
You need nothing more than the will to step onto the mat. Mouthguards are optional but recommended.
You do not need a gii. At Chatham Brazilian Jiu Jitsu we feel it is important to be able to apply the same fundamental movements in gii and no-gii situations. However, to grow and gain a deeper understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a gii is highly recommended.
How Much is it to Join?
Full-Time Adult membership is $100 per month – this gives you unlimited access to group classes.
Part-Time Adult membership is $50 per month – this gives you access to one group class per week.
Drop-In Mat Fee of $15 per night.
Private lessons are $20 per hour.

What if I don’t Like It?
You will never have to sign an annual contract and your first month is free. If you don’t like it there is no obligation to stay. But you’ll like it!
To help offset the cost of membership, members will receive 10% off of their school fees for every person that they enroll! You help us and we’ll help you!
Who will Teach me?
Eric Fryer is the owner and head instructor of Chatham Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; he currently holds the rank of Purple Belt. Eric teaches Adult classes Monday and Thursday.
Kickboxing for Fitness
Taught by Sherri Millsum and Tanya Bondy, the Women’s only Kickboxing for Fitness Class offers women of all skill levels a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment to train, work out, and meet new people!
Kicking, punching, and much more!
Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm until 7:30pm, and Wednesdays from 4:00pm until 5:00pm.
Sherri and Tanya have many years of experience providing high level kickboxing for fitness classes, and we are excited to have their knowledge and skills as part of the increasing martial arts diversity at Chatham Brazilian Jiu JItsu.
